History
Founded in 1992 by Mr. Peter Schmid, Wimex mainly trades
in Silicon and Magnesium for the primary and secondary
aluminium industry. Furthermore, the company supplies
Magnesium Alloys and Aluminium Alloys to the casting industry.
Founded as a trading company, Wimex has been concentrating
on imports from China since the very beginning. Due to
permanent purchases we were able to build up excellent
relationships with our Chinese partners who rank among
the best producers in their fields in China. Our biggest
clients are spread all over Europe, inside and outside
the European Community.
Thanks to our good reputation, however, we also established
strong relationships to the South- and Central-American
market, Canada, the U.S. and Australia.
Apart from Silicon, Magnesium and Aluminium, the product
lists of Wimex include Calcium, Copper, Manganese and
various kinds of Ferro Alloys.
In 2004, our team of 10 experienced and qualified staff
members traded over 30.000 MT of metals and reached a
turnover of approximately USD 50.000.000. |
